Aqua Luna Night

The unforgettable night in a tattoo shop in Hong Kong

Aqua Luna Night

It was April 2019, I participated National Geographic Photocamp. It was the first ever photo camp in Hong Kong and I was fortunate enough to be a teaching assistant helping different students with the translation on photography key terms, techniques and hope to inspire them to understand more about photography. This precious experience later became one of the most important event in my life.

One night after sending students back to their room. We went to a random tattoo shop in Mong Kok, Dominic googled it and he said he picked the first one appeared in his search result. He said he wanted a Aqua Luna tattoo, which is the traditional fishing boat in Hong Kong. Soon after we arrived at this tattoo house, we got some beers and then started chatting.

In this photocamp I learned so much about making photography projects and thanks to Dominic Bracco and Lujan Agusti. They inspired me so much and expanded my vision on how I should continue with my own projects.
